Warhammer

I have been told there are a few Warhammer players on here. I play Warhammer Fantasy and would love to find some opponents.

I'm looking at having a regular Warhammer night here at my house (Mill Creek). I'm building 4 regulation tables and a large amount of scenery and terrain. If people want to get together at some point in the future I'm offering my house. If people want to play Warhammer 40K that is okay too. I'm not prejudiced. ;-) I don't play that game though.

We are doing the work on the tables on October 27-28 so it would start after that. I've been approached with a Wednesday night request, which is fine with me. If enough people want to play a single type of game I would be willing to host a tournament at some point in the future after everyone is good with the rules.

For myself, I have about 6 or 7,000 points of Lizardmen painted. I have about 2500-3000 points of Empire, but can probably actually field about 2000 at this point. None are painted. I have about 1500 points of Bretonnians and none are painted. I'm working on getting the Empire army up to speed to be my regular army. I'm happy to let people play my other armies though.

You evil wicked people and your temptations to make me rebuild my 40k armies. I've been clean cold turkey for a year and now this. Fantasy eh? I could build that Skaven army I've always wanted. It will be forever until I get an army up and running but I'd be interested in attending any warhammer nights just to hang out and brush up on my rules.

after playing for about 6 years ive learned skaven get owned by wood elves...

Build your Skaven! And bring on your Wood Elves! Of course they own the Skaven. They own just about everyone, particularly in the new rules. Of course I have beaten BOTH with my Lizardmen so you are welcome to try if you dare! Bwaaa Haaa!

So how many people are interested in coming over to play if I held games every couple of weeks? Of course you wouldn't be obligated to come to every game. I need some idea how many tables to make.

I got rid of most of my Warhammer stuff. I think I still may have a few units of stuff, but not much.

I do still have my WH40K Marines though. They still kick ass. :-P

Anyone play Warmachine / Hordes?

I personaly am a big fan of most miniature based tactical games. I have Warhammer Fantasy armies, and have a veritable tish ton of Miniature Battles minis. If someone gets a group to play fantasy 'anything with minitures' let me know and I am in.

oo! What Warhammer Fantasy armies do you have?

High elf, Dwarf, Empire, Chaos, Orc and Goblin. I could even come up with units for Dark elves, Lizard men, Britonians and others I may be forgetting. I have a lot of miniatures.

Be sure to take a look at the new High Elf book coming out in a month or so. They are getting a much needed shot of testosterone and are going to become the army to beat in a lot of people's opinions.
