| I was reminded today of a very cool book: Tales of the Otori Book I, Across the NightingGale Floor ( http://www.amazon.com/Across-Nightingale-Floor-Tales-Otori/dp/1573223328). The book is light fantasy world set in a world based on ancient Japan. But the main character, who decents from a line of assassins, has super human hearing. If you want to know exactly what it would be like to have heightened senses, then I highly recommend this book (not to mention that it has fencing, fighting, torture, revenge, chases, escapes, true love, miracles...). | |
